NexStreaming (KOSDAQ:139670) announced today that it has added support for Chromecast to its NexPlayer SDK.

Apps including NexPlayer SDK will now be able to reproduce the contents played by NexPlayer onto any Chromecast-enabled devices. This upgrade includes the support of all streaming and downloading capabilities with NexPlayer advanced features such as closed captioning, offline playback, time shifting, multiple audio tracks or the increasingly popular 360 video contents.

The player update is available for all NexPlayer SDK customers, with a seamless integration process into any Android or iOS app.

Carlos Lucas, GM of NexPlayer SDK said: “We are proud to announce our advanced integration with Chromecast. Once again, we have combined our technologies with leading solutions and enabled new and exciting capabilities for end users. This integration makes new services launches faster for our customers and brings NexPlayer onto large TV screens, which is fully aligned with our commitment to remain the leading multi-screen player SDK.”

NexStreaming will be exhibiting at IBC in Amsterdam from September 9th-13th in booth number 14D24. NexPlayer SDK with Chromecast will be one of the demos shown there.
